An Unwavering Commitment to Safety and Empathy

Each patient is different, but the foundations of my practice remain the same: a commitment to excellent care, the highest safety standards and compassionate support, at every step of the way. Using efficacious and meticulous surgical techniques, and the latest advancements in non-surgical rejuvenation methods, I deliver maximal results with minimal intervention. This approach seeks to keep downtime low and ensures a natural look, restoring confidence while providing a harmonious aesthetic – keeping you ‘you.’

Openness and honesty are the cornerstones of every interaction I have with my patients. I understand that seeking functional or aesthetic treatment is incredibly personal, fostering an environment of trust so you are confident and informed in your healthcare decisions. None of my patients’ concerns are identical, therefore no two treatment plans are the same. We’ll consider different options together, with comprehensive explanations of what each procedure entails, the potential outcomes and aftercare, until we find the right fit for you.

My Surgical Career to Date

I have nearly two decades of experience, and my work has taken me to many different cities and hospitals. I began my medical career studying at the University of Dundee before embarking on foundation training in the north east of England. I moved back to my native Ireland for Basic Surgical Training; two years in research followed, working at the Network of Excellence for Functional Biomaterials at the University of Galway.

On returning to the UK, I moved back to the North East, before taking a registrar post at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. I was appointed my national training number in the Yorkshire deanery in 2013 and worked in plastic surgery units in the region before being awarded the FRCS (Plast) qualification, alongside the certificate of completion of specialist training in plastic surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons. Then it was to Manchester for a microsurgical, perineal and surgical oncology fellowship at the Christie Hospital – I am still particularly interested in these areas.

My Specialisms

Throughout my training I learnt from many talented surgeons in some of the largest plastic surgery units across the UK, including at Newcastle, Bristol and Leeds Hospitals. It was at Bradford Teaching Hospital that I practised alongside the founder of Coppergate Clinic, who welcomed me into the Coppergate family in 2023.

As a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, I am always learning about excellence and innovation in the field. I’m proud to be listed on the GMC specialist register for plastic surgery.

I have a broad surgical skill set, but I have tailored my practice to hone in on the procedures that I am most passionate about. Within the NHS, this is limb reconstruction, bone infection and perineal reconstruction; privately it spans non-surgical and surgical face and body contouring.
